That's terrible. I'm not at all surprised to hear about your misfortune. I hear more bad stuff about ETRADE than any other online broker. Well, what goes around comes around, and ETRADE will get it's payback for any unethical actions it may have committed. Datek frustrates me on a daily basis, but I sure haven't seen them do anything even remotely similar to the things that ETRADE users complain about.
Have there ever been any class action lawsuits filed against ETRADE?
I haven't heard of any, but I was wandering since there are so many
complaints. One thing that a customer can do to make a mark is to
call the Better Business Bureau. If there are a large number of
legitimate complaints about a company, and most of those complaints
are sent to the BBB, most likely the BBB would respond.
