This is as close to a general sell signal as I've ever heard come from
Peter Lynch.


I don't know the context in which he made the remarks, but Mr. Lynch has always said you have to be able to sleep at night. I have read many many times his statement about the declines and he generally then goes on to make the point about the long term return in spite of declines. I think he is just telling the nervous or those without a long time investment horizon to get out. I'm not sure that he was advising everyone to do so.
