This whole Staples idea doesn't make sense.

Staples sells office supplies of which computers are an important part. Profit wise I suspect that staples wishes computers were less of an important part.<g> Overall I would say that Staples would like to see consolodation in the computer industry, paper industry, furniture industry etc. but why would they focus on only one of those?

They have announced a desire to acquire....and that would most likely be other smaller office supply stores or manufacturers of core products they sell. Not competitors in sectors, it would be too expensive to get meaningful results....especially in computer products. I guess an online office supply house could be on the list too but that's it....not CPU.
