"By the time the avg. investor finally gets the green light to get in - the stocks are usually in their final blowoff stages and the smart money is distributing their shares and realizing fantastic gains." How do you account for the fact that 80% of mutual funds fail to beat the S&P 500? Aren't they this "smart money" you're talking about?
