Jeff, I liked the trading today. Little breakout on some fairly good volume. I like what I see and hear about the health of the semi industry. ALTR (which I am long) reported a great qtr after the close today, with a great forward look. I have been accumulating over the last 3 weeks about 1/3 of the xicor I eventually want to own. I will not buy more unless I continue to see good results from the group and some good news out of xicor specifically.

I would suggest that anyone who wants to buy not chase the stock, but rather buy on weakness. If you wait long enough someone will hit you on the bid. I went in between the bid and offer last Friday at 1 7/16, more as a test than anything else to see if some sellers were out there, and got hit rather quickly. When I got hit I thought for sure it was going lower, but it didn't. Then on Monday and Tues when it couldn't be bought on the bid, I figured it was going higher.

I am actually hoping the stock stays down and the fundamentals improve. Then I will be able to fill out my position at a great price by buying from people like PAR who are fed up with the stock.

Summary, because of the improving environment for the semi group and the possibility of improvement at xicor, I am willing to put some capital at risk now and will continue to add if and when things improve. But remember this is a spec!!
