Avant! Followers,
I've done some research on this one, and was surprised to find out how long the legal wrangling has been ongoing -- at least since 96. The three-year chart looks like the end of a roller coaster ride with each peak getting lower. Is this thing going to flat line and come to a halt, the end of the ride, or what? Or are we going to start a new, sustained ride up.
It seems to me like, as with Microsoft, if the stuff lasts long enough, it becomes the norm. The street could become desensitized to it. I also read somewhere that only roughly 10% of their business is at stake if they lost the rights and so forth. Is that all?
Company performance is good, and the outlook is good. The company just announced that there's no problem behind the recent swoon. This stock is a bargain. If one ignores the legal stuff, I value it at $53.40 now and $67 in a year.
Of course, if all the management gets thrown in the slammer the company could fail too.
