Sal,

<< And I also think that the non-upgradeability of some 56k ROK chips will make for a compelling argument.>>

I can't believe people are suggesting that ROK is going to go before the standards body and say "you really should go with us because our products are inferior, crippled and can't be upgraded". It is even harder to believe that they would even consider such an argument. I think a more compelling argument would be for USRX to say "hey look 70% of the people who access the internet do so through ISP's that have already endorsed x2". At any rate, the eventual standard is irrelevant to USRX since their modems are easily upgraded to whatever becomes the standard. The important thing is that x2 will help USRX (which already has by far the greatest modem market share) gain even more market share. ROK based modems will lose market share because companies like Cardinal which previously used ROK chipsets will now use x2 technology. Megahertz also will obviosuly no longer use ROK. IMO, you continue to grossly underestimate x2's potential in the stock market and consumer market.
