Anyone? my system freezes occasionally. Cursor on mouse will move but clicks don't work. Modem?

OS: win98, nscp 4.5, 56K v.90.

Couple weeks ago it started. Can log on, load home page, then after a few mouse clicks the screen freezes, mouse still moves but won't click. Have to Re-Set in order to clear it up. Sometimes can surf for an hour or longer before it happens. Then again it will happen a few mouse clicks after starting. Local ISP techie says it sounds like mouse problems.(cleaned the ball).

Want to download nscp 4.51, if i'm able to get to download site and click SAVE it freezes every time. Haven't been able to get past SAVE.

Did not Install/Uninstall anything prior to problems starting.

Any help appreciated, Thanks

Regards, /jw

ps; Hey E !, when you drag the dohickie to Bookmarks make sure the Chain Links are showing before releasing left mouse button in order to make the connections.
