The times, they are a changin'

Chuz, when you posted ...

There are a lot of changes:

First, Dell reported lower than expected revenues.
Second, Compaq has issues a series of warnings, claiming softness in enterprise and severe pricing pressure.
Third, analysts have been warning of Y2K lockdowns
Fourth, IDC sees no abatement in the downward spiral of PC prices
Fifth, Dell unveils gigabuys.com
Sixth, Dell initiates an aggressive push towards entering the consumer market
Seventh, IBM and Dell seem to be in the preliminary stages of a mating dance
Eighth, Michael Dell and Co. says sales are good. Pricing pressure? what pricing pressure. Sees industry growth at 14%
Ninth, Ziff Davis reprots that Dell is taking corporate sales from Compaq
Finally, Intc reports fairly anemic growth in sales (18.3% y/y)

...you omitted one which I think is very important for future DELL growth: may I add..
"Eleventh, DELL's newly announced relationship with "Red Hat Software" and it's plans to offer machines with a linux operating system." This is more than a pair o' dimes change from "exclusively MSFT".

JMHO,
DELLish, 3.
