Globe says World Heart files for two offerings

The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday edition that World Heart
Corp. has filed in the United States and Canada in connection with a
primary offering of two million common shares and a secondary
offering of 300,000 common shares by director Michael Cowpland.
The Nepean, Ont.-based medical devices development company said it
and Mr. Cowpland will grant the underwriters an option to purchase
an added 300,000 and 45,000 shares, respectively, to cover
overallotments. World Heart noted that after selling 345,000 shares,
Mr. Cowpland will continue to hold 1,207,833 common shares of
World Heart. He has agreed not to offer any additional common shares
of the company for sale for 12 months following completion of the
offering.
