Rich: That's an interesting set of statements you make, and entirely plausible, if not particularly comforting for its complete lack of regard for immediate shareholder value. I can think of lot's of companies who would be standing on the nearest PR mountaintop shrieking that "certain companies(whose names have been bantered about here)" have begun using their product, however tangential it may be. Public companies valuations do tend to live, or die, by P.R., no?

But of course, not many companies have been afforded the opportunity of returning from the grave(I reference VLNC's debacle of 4 years ago); the ghosts of which still swirl around this thread, ;-). So to say they're wary is a decided understatement, no doubt. Still, if what you claim is true, then the very next SEC filing should manifest the proof of your commentary, eh? So need I say I'm VERY interested in seeing it? Heh!

As for the critical statements regarding these new hires. Well, I'm not gonna back-seat drive on THAT one. All have records of associations with successes and failures. Probably not any different from the rest of us out here in the business world. To me the bottom line is this. They've put the players in place. I'm gonna trust in L.D.'s ability to hire the right "synergistic" players to move VLNC's strategy to the next level. I'm willing to let the players currently on the field run the plays and not attempt, at this point, to be an "arm-chair" quarterback. I figure they need another month or so before we'll truly see everything unfolding. This will be about half-way through 1999, and dove-tails nicely with their SEC filing statements of "end of first fiscal quarter."

Now let's see how it goes.......

John~
