I think Tom just didn't want this thread to be used to promote individual stocks or to get lost into details.. The inflationary aspects of this current war etc and the effects on the dollar have a great deal to do with the price of gold..this thread to me is a painting in development ps a friend said she heard rumor that a lot of people are scared that the Russian missile system isn't y2k compliant and the missiles might be launched..that is one of the funniest ones I have heard yet pssss also heard on cnbc the former yugoslav prime minister's solution..he said that they should call a moratorium to the bombing for one day and ask for MS's resignation..if he doesn't resign..continue bombing and start a propaganda compaign by dropping leaflets from planes telling the serbs that Nato is not against them but against MS. He also mentioned as did my friend who served in Yugoslavia that there had been a movement to get MS out of office
