Actually my point about the indicators not working so far, does not mean I didn't think they will. As matter of fact I think the indicators will hit it right, I just don't know when. On charts that have declined and are flat, I think the best strategy is fine one with a MACD buy, some volume increase, and some modest upward movement ending on a high for the day. If it doesn't go, I would keep trying with that criteria. Flat chart stocks can be some of the biggest gainers. I will watch GEMS looking for a "just-in-time" entry point. I see no downside, so patience will work too.
