Paunch, I think that gold was just a little oversold and is recovering some. I would also expect that people are little nervous about the current general market and are looking for some protection. I have been thinking that way lately and am now buying into gold and some other conservative issues for my "secure" portfolio. I even started a new thread in that regard: Subject 27498 .
