INTERNET (esecurities.W) April 15, 1999 - [NKCIF alliance]* TLC announces q1;to hold joint Mattel investor conference. "...The Learning Company, Inc. (NYSE: TLC - news) today announced that it expects revenues for the three months ended March 31, 1999 to be approximately $190,000,000. The Company also announced that it expects its earnings per share, excluding merger, amortization and other costs, to at least meet analyst consensus estimates of $0.36 per share. The company will begin a joint investor presentation with executives of Mattel on April 19, 1999 to April 23, 1999 in order to meet with investors and discuss the proposed merger between Mattel and The Learning Company. In order to be in a position to discuss its first quarter results with the investment community the company is announcing its estimated results today. The company had previously announced that both it and Mattel, Inc.
