In trying to assess what went wrong here with some of our trades, it seems that we are all asking should I .... buy here, sell at this point, average down, etc.

If we don't lay out and follow a plan then find ourselves trading on emotion. I read some very good advice somewhere to help control fear and greed--our two worst enemies. When you're not certain about a trade, but are questioning which way to go always ask yourself "Will this preserve my capital?"

If it doesn't preserve your capital, don't do it. Selling when you're up will preserve your capital. Buying when you're down will not preserve your capital.

Wish I had followed that advise. Just a thought. I hope that this little piece of advice might help in the future.
