That is pure speculation on your part and flies in the face of any plausible reality. For QCOM to have given away the infrastructure division and gotten "nothing" in return would not have happened. If you believe that then you'd have to believe the entire run in the stock price is based on some collective fantasy ( please we don't need to get into whether it's been overdone or not), that QCOM is lying to us about royalties and patents etc. It makes no sense.

What I find quite amazing is that Ericsson could have avoided alot of this for quite a while if it hadn't brought up WCDMA at all, a big tipoff that CDMA is better than GSM.. DMG
