According to Standard & Poor,Storage Technology manufacturers and markets high performance computer information storage and retrieval subsytems. This includes devices that utilize RAID technology. STK news is also shown on my Quotron when I punch in EMC. Maybe the attitude is that if possible suppliers are showing falling sales, that means that the buyers will have declining sales later. The timing of the news from STK and the EMC fall seems to be more than coincidence.Of course the downgrade was also a big factor.Who knows. When it's this close to earnings reports, the attitude is ready , fire, aim. The exact connection between EMC and STK doesn't matter, only the perception of a relationship matters in a nervous market. In a declining market MM sell the biggest most liquid stocks in which they have a profit, and so EMC fits well. I just added to my position at 112.
