re-post: this is a very nasty game these market makers will play...lately i have been seeing them gap up so many stocks in pre-market sucking in the pre-market buyers along with the market orders...my guess is they are shorting for their own account and the downticking the stock at the open...they then cover and send the stock back up...IMO you should NEVER use market orders.
