I'd just like to emphasize that even if SEPR lost the interference proceeding (something about which I've heard absolutely nothing), it would have no impact on the overall business plan. The issue in the proceeding is simply who invented what first, not whether the improvement is patentable. Losing this would have no impact on SEPR's basic strategy - it would just say that in this one case they didn't get there first. Royalties are low and not due for a couple of years anyhow, so the fiscal impact wouldn't be real significant either.
