Jock: I mostly buy and sell, but do actually short on occasion; with a stock on a strong up trend like LSI, I only short on the extremes of resistance, eg. 28 when it was trading 24-28. I suppose with the strong resistance we're seeing at 36, I would have done well to short there(2 more failed attempts today), but I just can't bring myself to do it---upside potential too strong and with only 3 more trading days till earnings, I'm thinking we'll bust through 36 and test 38-40 by Monday. E: I agree, the market is a dead weight around LSI's neck right now; if the NAZ will turn around or even stop bleeding, we should see LSI make another run, IMHO. cb
