You can find info about GLBN by going to their website: www.microcap1000.com to start. Read Dow Jones, Business Wire, and/or Bloomberg News also. GLBN (formerly MFSI, use MFSI sometimes to search for info), is a financial website company providing financial info and services on small cap companies. Their arrangement with Dixons/Freeserve in the UK will make them immediately a big player (read strong revenue growth) as this site starts up in about a week. Freeserve has 1.5 million subscribers and will be the first location in Europe to use Telscan's (TSCN) new trading technology (Licensed from a private co called Trading Technologies). The new technology allows a user to enter a trade with an ECN or the on-line broker (probably GBLN!) through a pop-up window, all while viewing financial information about a company on another site (like Smartmoney.com, the WStJournal site). This new trading capability will be applied accross Europe on multiple sites and eventually back in the U.S. MFSI-GLBN is becoming a financial services portal and TSCN wants to participate in the revenues assoicated with that. TSCN already provides software and technology to MSNBC (and others), which is why GE/NBC owns 10% of TSCN. Paul Allen also owns 11% of TSCN. Now TSCN will own 20% of MFSI/GBLN. Can you read the handwriting on the wall? good luck.
