taxman, I don't really know the names as I don't really pay attention to all the negativity. Usually the top guys at a lot of brokerage come out with the advance/decline line etc. Too much of the advance is concentrated etc. It has been the same story for a long time. I have not watched much CNBC today.

Of the stocks you listed, the only one I really like is Intel simply due to its valuation and the EPS growth is pretty good. It looks like the selling in this one is coming to an end. The others you mentioned don't look bad if market sentiment changes to positive on the sector but until that happens, we might see more selling (to a lessor degree MSFT is in the same boat).

In addition, I think a lot of managers may be fearing that inflows into the market might just dry up after the US tax season. That could be causing some of the selling and movement into paper and metal stocks etc. If the inflows dry up---we got big problems for the entire market at least until interest rates come down.

I decided to pick up a little bit of MSFT shares at 84 5/8--probably filled. Waiting for 83 or so to buy more. I am expecting a late day rally in MSFT tomorrow--i hope we get it.
