Small investors are far better off doing their own research, based on whatever model they are comfortable with. They will do much better on their own.

Obviously, I couldn't agree more. If you are an active investor, and you can't beat an analyst, you should hang up your jock strap.

Yes, it was true that there were a lot of "holds" when LSI hit its bottom (the notable exception was Mona Euribe of Gruntel), but those holds were in place long before LSI hit the bottom--with the already noted exception of the lovely, vivacious, and arrogant Ms. Klauer. Kurlak also got hit--going long on LSI at 22 and change in June, and dumping at 16--the morning of the pre-announcement on August 18.
