What strikes me about today is that despite today's pretty good volume (last week we would have considered 400K as HUGE) is the absence of big buyers, even during the surge to 8 1/4. The largest trade - I think - was 28,500 at 7 3/8; there's also a 19,000 and many of 8,000-11,000. But these are pretty much evenly split today between buys and sells. I think Monday and Tuesday created volatility and doubt such that even the MMs don't know where to peg the stock. In the absence of any other influence, the price will naturally gravitate to the nearest call strike.
