Westlinks Resources Ltd - Westlinks will not proceed to make bids Westlinks Resources Ltd WLX Shares issued 2,623,000 1999-04-08 close $1.5 Thursday Apr 15 1999 Mr. Peter Sekera reports With respect to the company's previously announced intention to make simultaneous multiple takeover bids, it has been advised by the staffs of the Ontario and Alberta securities commissions that the staffs believe the takeover bids are not in the public interest and that if the proposed bids were made they would recommend that both commissions immediately cease-trade the bids.
