Finally, Colony City and Cybertown have merged into one huge
online community. As of April 1st, Colony City has become a suburb
of Cybertown. You can visit the worlds at cybertown.com.
Escape to the same virtual community, but now it's bigger and better
than ever - with even more to see and do.
We also worked in co-operation with Intel on a next-generation
Internet solution called NURBS. After completing the optimization
of our Community Platform 4.0 for the Intel Pentium III processor,
we now support NURBS technology. NURBS reduce the bandwidth
requirements for complex 3D data by an average of 80% while displaying
three-dimensional models with astounding realism.

Now when you visit Cybertown, you'll be welcomed by Mina, the City Guide.
Mina is a human/android/bot. Was she really born as a human and altered
later on or is she totally android? Probably no one will ever know. She
evidently combines the best of technology and logic with human emotion.
Now you can visit the Shopping Mall in 3D and you can finally spend your
CyberCash there. Buy virtual goods like furniture, gifts, carpets, and
pictures, or get a TV for your 3D home.
And now, after your friends have left your 3D house, you can lie down on
your sofa for a rest while you read the daily city news.
Another new feature is text to speech. It's fantastic, you can
talk with others just like in real life. It's amazing how clear the
speech sounds. Visit the plaza and check it out for yourself. But
no shouting!

Canal+ Le 2ème Monde

The sun is shining in virtual Paris, no more rain and cold weather, spring
has finally arrived. So it's time to get ready for the summer and to buy
your avatar some fashionable sunglasses.
But don't sit in the sun for too long, there are many new worlds to visit
in Canal+. The Metamorph, for instance. You can visit it via the place index;
it's a 3D interactive piece of art. It was developed by a member, and you can
find yourself in the middle of this work of art.
On April 15th at 9.30 pm, you can meet with Maurice Dantec, a trendy French
sci-fi writer, and ask him anything you like.

T-World

T-World is a 3D chat world that forms part of the Trouble TV website. Trouble
TV is a cable/satellite TV channel for teenagers, based in the UK. The Trouble
website receives 1.3 million page impressions per month, making it one of the
leading websites in the UK aimed at teenagers.
T-World has a brightly colored, surreal landscape. Entry is via an enormous
pyramid which leads outside to the gangways and intimate chat rooms of the
Main World. Also in this world is a maze that contains the entrance to Blue
Core, a dimly lit labyrinth of caves and tunnels.
We are running hosted quizzes at 6pm GMT, and competitions, both of which
offer great prizes.

blaxxun Contact 4.1 preview - Download
This preview version of blaxxun Contact 4.1 introduces new functionality which we
have developed to test the feasibility of using NURBS geometry and NURBS interpolation
as either possible extensions to or recommended practice for VRML97. This work,
together with proposed node specifications, will be presented to the VRML community
and the Web3D consortium for further discussion.
