I don't want to get into a debate about this, but there's also the point that our malls are overcrowded and they're constantly building bigger supermalls in every major city. With the prevalence of catalogs and TV shopping, wouldnt you think that people would not bother going to the mall because of inconvenience? Fact of the matter is that it's an experience and many things you simply don't want to be buying without physically seeing/touching/trying on.

Having said all that, I do believe that online buying will be going through the roof. I do not however believe that they will replace traditional retail buying -- they will only supplement. My opinions only.
