Dear Ambassador Hill:

It has come to my attention that Ms. Ana Memetaj, a U.S. citizen residing in Chicago, Illinois, has a sister, Skelkije Ferataj, and niece, Besarta, trapped in Macedonia after fleeing from Kosovo. Ana would like to bring Skelkije and Besarta to the United States to care for them until the situation in Kosovo is normalized and Skelkije and daughter can return safely home to Kosovo. Ana has a successful business in Chicago and would be able to provide support for Skelkije and Besarta during their stay in the United States.

It is also pertinent that Ms. Memetaj will be accompanying and providing translating assistance to two U.S. citizens on a ten-day humanitarian mission to assist Kosavar refugees in Macedonia. Mr. Fane Lozman and Mr. Anthony Elgindy are two successful stock traders who have participated in past humanitarian efforts. Mr. Elgindy has provided extensive humanitarian aid to orphan children in war torn areas. They will be leaving for Macedonia on April 16, 1999, to observe first hand the plight of the refugees and to further assess what programs are needed to care for orphans. Ana would like to bring Skelkije and Besarta back with her when she returns to the U.S.

Any assistance you can provide to facilitate a visa will be greatly appreciated. If I can provide any other information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

With warmest regards,

/s/
Robert Wexler
