The ram business is ultra-low-margin and the japanese memory giants arent going to pay rambus a 30 percent royalty on a product they can design in their factories for zilch. Rambus is toast. The only thing left is for Intel to eat the 1 billion investment they made in rmbs, and the GAME OVER sign will appear. After that, the only revenue they'll have left is selling 8 meg ram chips to Nintendo for 7 bucks. :)
