**OT ** PAL - yes, that was me about the April DELL 45's. It wasn't how I could remedy it, as I recall, but was I stupid? Turns out I was... :-( -- I am still up for the month, but lost $2.7K of my profits.

That's what happens to me when I divert from my strategy of the moment - which is at the moment created covered calls and spreads. I currently have a 42.5/45 spread on DELL for May, at a cost of ~1 3/8.

Thanks for the broker information - I think I recall that Don M. had some trouble with Brown - I will have to ask him about them. Brown is stupid to have such low requirements - they seem too low, to not have some sort of basis against the put price... I will have to check with them as you suggest, and of course think long and hard about selling puts. I don't know who it was but on one thread I saw the idea of buying a stock at $255, selling a long leap for $117, and a put for $?, creating a very low cost basis in case the put was exercised. Interesting idea.

I value your input and warnings, and hope to receive more knowledge and guidance. Looking forward to seeing your case studies.

Best & thank you,
Jeff Smith
