Bill, The "Android hand" would need to have very small blood vessels with blood or another fluid flowing...... It is my understanding that a finger that's been cut off or duplicated will not have the very slight movements or pulsations that these machines must pick up in order to grant access.....And I think the machine can identify the difference between poor circulation and no circulation.....I believe cold is a factor....as that's what seems to be holding up the automotive applications that IDX is involved with. Not being an expert in this area....Marvin? bg
