What is obvious to everyone here and everyone everywhere is that changes need to be made.

They need to restore investor confidence and more importantly, customer confidence. They are a rudderless ship that changes directions in midstream without a plan or a vision.

#1. Get rid of EP and Earl... I feel like the helpless serfs in medievil England even though we're suposedly the owners. The Board needs to get a grip and get rid of the dead weight.

#2. Find a gameplan and concentrate all your efforts on executing the game plan. Don't go into areas where you have no expertise and dilute your resources. Know your strengths and exploit them without shame. Innovate, then market it like crazy. Make the best products, then sell it.....

#3. Hire aggressive salespeople and follow it up with great service. "Why should we buy a CPQ server instead of DELL?" - If you cant answer that in 10 seconds, the game's over.

#4. Know how to play the game. Dont promise things you cant deliver. Dont hide your weaknesses. Realize them and fix it. Denial gets you in trouble and makes you sweat on national TV when the interviewer has your answers in front of him even before you speak. That's a tell tale sign that you are predictable and have no credibility.

#5. Translate good relationships into $$$. WHo cares what alliances you have unless you can make yourself and your business partners more sucessful. It has to be a win-win situation.

The shareholder meeting should be interesting. They'll probably throw me out in the first 15 minutes.
