SRCL's acquisition of Browning Ferris's medical waste business is an extremely positive step, I believe. BFI is triple the size of SRCL, and there will be plenty of fat to trim for SRCL. Also, pricing in this sector has been anemic, and with BFI out of the way, maybe a rational pricing environment can return to the industry.

No doubt, it will take awhile for everyone to figure this one out. SRCL has not done a good job of articulating its strategy, and the stock price reflects the poor investor relations effort. in fact, this acquisition must be seen as a dream come true, as it makes SRCL the dominant player in this fragmented industry.

My prediction: more acquisitions to follow, and more positive earnings surprises.
