Ten,

An easy way to increase memory bandwidth is by splitting up the memory among special purpose processors. This is already being done to some extent on graphics cards with framebuffer and texture memory onboard. I expect to see a lot more of that in the future.

It is kind of silly to try to extract huge amounts of bandwidth out of a single DRAM across a single bus.
