Takeover prices for potential suitors. If the rumoured Bell Atlantic Corp. (BEL) where to acquire PSInet (PSIX) the terms could be as follows: As of today BEL is selling at 64 1/8. The following scenarios are possible: 3 for 2 stcok swap: BEL @ 64 1/8 PSIX @ ~43 1/3 2 for 1 stock swap: BEL @ 64 1/8 PSIX @ 32 1/16 3 for 1 stock swap: BEL @ 64 1/8 PSIX @ ~21 2/3 ( 0 %) If the suitor where Worldcom (@49 1/2) 2 for 1 : PSIX @ 24 3/4 1 for 1 : PSIX @ 49 1/2 If you are looking at a takeover from either of these companies, it is my opinion that the takeover will occur between 32 - 50. PSIX is a great play at this time because if one anticipates an acquisition by either of thes companies - the stock will most likely double from here to accomodate that acquisition. Antal
