I think your calculator broke. If the stock goes to zero you would still only make 100%.

While that is certainly the most common perception, I've often thought it a bit unfair. If you buy a stock at 1 and sell it at 7, you usually call it a 600% gain. But if the sell happens before the buy, somehow it's only an 86% gain. Go figure.

You do realize that your losses are unlimited on the upside?
