Thermo Tech faces $194,000 supplier suit

In a statement of claim filed Wednesday in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Jelcon Equipment of Sechelt, north of Vancouver, claims Thermo Tech has reneged on payment for six grinders and controllers, delivered last fall to the Richmond plant of Richmond Bio Conversion. The named defendants are Thermo Tech Technologies, Thermo Tech Waste Systems, Ontario Thermo Tech and Richmond Bio Conversion. The suit claims the equipment was ordered between May and August last year, and delivered in September and October. Jelcon claims it has not been paid anything yet, although the terms were net 30 days. Vancouver lawyer Carla Courtenay seeks damages of $194,137. The lawyer alternatively seeks a declaration of constructive trust on the assets and profits of Richmond Bio. Statements of defence have not yet been filed. |
