I got the sense that there was a lot of fear the last two/three weeks heading into this earnings release. But apart from that 3 point drop after the previous press release, the stock, in face of the fear, firmed the past week while the high flyers got nailed.
@35, I think the release will convince some to buy and some to cover. Management was happy with the first quarter of the new business, the two businesses feed each other, and they've received the first patent.
I haven't reviewed the patent, but patents are lovely things - send a letter to an infringer, the infringer has then received actual notice of infringement, knowing and continued infringement opens up the poss of treble damages, royalties can be a % of profits, or a % of gross revenue, or anything in between, capital dries up for infringers (other than ebay).
You have got to believe they have patents pending on their atcost model. These guys are sharp internet thinkers. And their PD is solid. |
