The party may be over for awhile. Yesterday's trading (4/15) indicates that investors are getting out of the "hot" stuff and starting to move into so called cheaper stocks. The several mutual funds that I am involved in peaked on Monday (4/12) even before the DOW which was still setting records as of yesterday.

McGinn's anger at the analysts over the weekend convinced him to pre-announce earnings and it had its small affect, pushing up LU a bit but most was lost yesterday.

The big money has already moved out as of Wednesday of last week, the 3rd day of the new split price when 21,458,100 shares traded and the stock hit its intra-day high of 67.

As much as I'd like to believe this stock will move up a little, my gut feeling says that it will be sliding for the next couple of months, suffering along with the rest of the markets as profit taking takes its toll.

It looks like I'll be long on LUCENT even though I didn't intend to be. Was hoping to ride up a little in anticipation of the earnings announcement after the bell next Thursday, maybe getting out on Tuesday before. The last couple of times that LU has beaten the STREET it fell from each announcement.

I'm also long on AT&T and it too is sliding, having peaked on Tuesday. I don't know what affect T stock split will have on its stock in the next few days. I doubt if any. Its all been taken into account already.
