<You know there has been quite a bit of press in the sector lately.>

Today: lead article in WSJ's "MarketPlace" section on the $43 million Big Pharma Genome project disguised as "New Era of Personalized Medicine"... once again they're badmouthing bioworld: "drug makers plan to publicly release their findings is especially valuable because it means the findings won't be exlusively controlled by small biotech companies"

"One small company, Genset SA of Paris, says it has already used its preliminary gene map to identify threee genes involved in prostate cancer. But so far the company has declined to identify the genes so that other cancer researchers can begin working to understand the genes' role and develop treatments."

It really is terrible the way the large pharma companies share all their drug research but biotechs won't. Guess they're just "evil"...

Next, CSFB's Ales To talks with Bloomber's Jim Finkle via telephine about his new "strong buy" rating on Immunex Corp.. his recommendation of Amgen, Chiron and Genzyme... Yuk
