SAN RAMON, Calif., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Wireless Corporation
(Nasdaq: USWC) today announced the appointment of Irwin Gross to its
Board of Directors, effective April 5, 1999. Mr. Gross brings over 30
years experience in founding, managing and investing in
telecommunications and high technology industries. He is currently
President and CEO of Interactive Flight Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:
FLYT), a provider of computer based in-flight entertainment systems.
He is also the owner of Ocean Castle Investments, LLC, a financial
services firm specializing in investments in the telecommunications,
information technology, biotechnology and manufacturing industries.

"Irv's extensive business expertise will prove invaluable as we
establish our presence as a leader in wireless location systems," said
Dr. Oliver Hilsenrath, President and CEO of U.S. Wireless. "We are
genuinely pleased to have Irv join our Board and look forward to his
many contributions in the years ahead."

Mr. Gross was a founder of International Mobile Machines, now
InterDigital Communications Corporation, a pioneer of the wireless
technology standard, Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA). He was a
founding shareholder of Powerspectrum Technologies, Ltd., a developer
of innovative digital spread spectrum radio technologies. Gross was
also a founder and Chairman of ICC Technologies, a manufacturer of
desiccant-based, active humidity control, air comfort systems. ICC
subsequently sold its primary business to its joint venture partner,
Engelhard Corporation, and reinvested the proceeds in Rare Medium
Group, Inc., a provider of Internet and e-commerce business solutions.

Mr. Gross received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Temple
University and his Juris Doctorate from Villanova University. He is a
member of the national Board of Directors for the American Technion
Society (The Israeli Institute of Technology) and a recipient of the
Kjakan Award for "entrepreneurial spirit" from Westergaard Publishing.
In 1998, Mr. Gross was the commencement speaker for the Temple
University Graduate School of Business.
