Hawaiian Airlines Reports March Traffic Statistics

HONOLULU--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 16, 1999--In systemwide service during
March 1999, Hawaiian Airlines (Amex: HA) recorded Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) of
391,922,000, an increase of 6.3 percent from 368,569,000 RPMs reported for the same
month in 1998.

Available Seat Miles (ASMs) in March 1999 were 513,895,000, an increase of 6.3 percent from 483,536,000 ASMs
recorded in March 1998.

Systemwide Load Factor (LF) in March 1999 was 76.3 percent, an increase of 0.1 point from 76.2 percent in March 1998.

Hawaiian carried 489,959 passengers in March 1999, an increase of 6.6 percent from 459,816 passengers reported for
March 1998.

1st Quarter

For the first three months of 1999, Hawaiian recorded total RPMs of 1,090,762,000, an increase of 11.5 percent from
978,026,000 RPMs recorded for the same period in 1998.

Through March, total 1999 ASMs were 1,454,120,000, an increase of 4.0 percent from 1,398,185,000 ASMs recorded for
the first three months in 1998.

Average 1999 systemwide Load Factor through March was 75.0 percent, an increase of 5.1 points from 69.9 percent for the
same period in 1998.

Hawaiian carried a total of 1,364,810 passengers during the first three months of 1999, an increase of 9.1 percent from
1,251,014 carried during the same period in 1998.

utilized
