Very dubious information. I think SRNAs central business (mainframe software) is too far afield of MS interests, also the CM market is really too small for Microsoft to even care about. If anyone were interested in SRNA it would more likely be folks in or closer to their market segment with similar clients (someone like Computer Associates, but they are having enough problems finishing the deal with Platinum).
Plus, management knows their shares are currently undervalued, and would not want to swap their shares for MSFT at the going rate. Also, SRNA has been in business too long to go the buyout route this early in their public life - I really think they will make a successful go of it on their own. The more trouble CA has digesting Platinum, the better things are for SRNA.
