Yes, I wish I had some money left to buy the bargains. I got caught in the downdraft of the last 2 days. Didn't have any stops and now am stuck until things improve.
When you put in a stop do you use 'STOP' or 'STOP LIMIT'? I'm a little afraid that with a stop, which then becomes a market order when hit, Ameritrade would take too long to execute on a fast falling stock. But on a 'stop limit', if I understand correctly, it would have to hit that price twice, the first time for the stop and then becomes a limit at that price. So on a fast falling stock that hit the stop price it might never see that price again and never execute. Is this correct?
Just picking brains this morning! Obviously I've never used a stop before.

thanks,
Linda L.
