Hi wily,

Unless you've got DVD going and are going for engineering and 3-D rendering, I think a 21" is overkill for trading stations. 2 or 3 19"'s are great. And about $500 less than a comparable 21".

Because you'll be in front of them the whole day, it's highly recommended that you get high quality monitors with a dot pitch of .25 or .26 (That's why I love to Viewsonic PS790's).

For resolution, 1024x768 is often good enough. Although you can go higher, you don't want to be squinting at numbers all day (especially when you have multiple monitors).

I would get a good 4Mg (preferably 8Mg) card like the Matrox (one of my favorites for stability and fine resolutions). The new ATI's are also pretty good (128bit).

Although I've played around with multi-monitors setups before, I'm no expert at it, so hopefully someone else can recommend some good cards.

However, like I mentioned, when it comes to monitors, 2 or 3 Viewsonic PS790's will be a good start.

Rich
