Tom, I first got interested in ABFG because of Daniel Miller. There was a big flap made here on SI over his age and whether he should be allowed to post on SI, whether he could legally make trades, etc., over an article written by Bloomberg that was critical of him, and over some people here who were getting on his case about his style and his research skills.

So, rather than choose sides by what I read, I decided to do my own "independent" investigation on two of his picks: XCLU and ABFG. As S&P records show XCLU has one employee and as someone I consider one of the finest researchers on SI in jhild was already all over that one, I concentrated on ABFG.

Sure, I could have kept what I found private. I mean, why rock the boat, right? Well, sorry, I guess I'm just foolish in that regard because I felt I owed it to my fellow SI members to share information that just may be of benefit to them. If you read my posts you'll see I as much as possible post links to material I use as reference.

I think at this point it's either obvious to people what's going on here or it isn't. It's certainly not obvious to Daniel Miller. As a matter of fact, I think his "the company told me this so it must be true" attitude makes him the perfect mark for company propaganda which he willingly disseminates in his newsletter under the guise of DD (due diligence). Does Daniel do good DD? Absolutely not. Does he pick stocks that make money. Most definitely. Never confuse the two things. Want to know more on the difference? Ask cOUSIN sHORTY.

As for what keeps me engrossed here, sad to say, it's the entertainment value. And, believe me, considering ABFG has even dared to involve the White House and Al Gore in the promotion of their stock, well, now that takes balls! I like that! And, believe me, the story is far from over. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. (g)
