Dear Floyd, Good to see your smiling electrons around here again! You're right, it's been a very long time. I've missed your wise commentary on stock fundamentals. How's it going now that you've retired from one profession and started another?

There's been chat about the Rydex funds in the last year as well as the souped up NASDAQ 100 fund called UltraOTC Fund (UOPIX). Talk about BETA!!! The hardest part is getting a trade executed near one's price targets! The other day I put in a Sell order for 9 shares of it while the price was at about $155 and the market was healthy and "UP" two hours before the close. Well, I ended up getting only about $145 because the NASDAQ collapsed in the last part of the day. Ugh!

I'm beginning to think the new NASDAQ 100 fund QQQ might be the answer. Even though it has less BETA, at least we'd know what price we're getting at trade time!

I continue to watch Lam Research. If I'd had spare change last fall I would have loaded up, but alas, I was pretty strapped after the buying spree AIM and I were on. Another company in related capital equipment business is Cognex Corp. (CGNX). I've had it in my portf. for a while and it's proving to be a great AIM selection. I would imagine that LRCX has also been a good AIMer.

Not sure where Dana Point is, but there's plenty of Left Coasters here on the board. Maybe a regional meeting is in order. Feel like being a guest speaker? Maybe we can talk Glory into singing the AIM anthem!

Good to hear from you again, please drop by often!

Best regards, Tom
