Ambrym Man, this whole area gets quite interesting. Sombody at Astra is clearly after this market in the UK at least, where things may be quite different to the US. Most healthcare in the UK (at the moment) is public so costs are kept down. Doctors manage their own budgets tightly so anything free is good. In the UK they certainly wouldn't pay for a test if they could help it. I'm suddenly more interested in this marketplace - the potential of small co.s like QDEL & ChemTrak doing well on the back of majors giving away their product... Looking at the stock price, Chemtrak has been a similar ride to the rest of this class of co. Patrick. ps. at the risk of cross-hyping, my biggest holding has the same ticker as your 'surname'.
