I try not to watch CNBC because it's obvious they're stupid.

LOL... well I think one problem is an assumption that the anchors are business reporters and I don't believe many are. A bunch of cnbc people come from the bay area and they were not business reporters when they were here. For one guy, when he went to cnbc they died his hair grey and gave him glasses. Now hes a "business" reporter. Heh.

For the hedge fund managers I believe cnbc actually has fairly high criteria. They do have Fleckelstein (who is here on SI) and hes a short so his performance is lower - 33% a year I think? or thereabouts - but the long guys have 500% performance in some cases which is more than most individuals can get. I know I know some people here claim to do 20 times their money in 6 mos but that only works with small $$ amounts I find. You can get the bios on the cnbc website.
